Insta360 Studio FAQ
    • Q1.Why doesn’t Insta360 Studio work in Windows 7?
    • A1.This is probably because you haven’t installed “Microsoft Windows Service Pack (KB976932)” in your system. You should install Windows Updates. Go into the Windows Control Panel under Windows Updates, and make sure all of your important updates are installed. After that, you will see the following:
      • Q2.Encounter “Unable to register the DLL/OCX: RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0x3”
      • A2.Please abort the installation, remove all files in C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Insta360 (if exists), right click the installer and run it as an administrator.
      • Q3.No response after double clicking the Studio installer
      • A3.This is probably because you haven’t installed “Microsoft Windows Service Pack (KB976932)” in your system. The solution is to install Windows Updates. Go into the Windows Control Panel under Windows Updates, and make sure all of your important updates are installed. After that, you will see the following:
      • Q4.No response after clicking “Export to” on Studio
      • A4.This is probably because there exists unallowable characters in your filename. Please rename the original file (e.g. 123.insv). You can also edit other files to examine whether it’s a common situation.
      • Q5. Why does Windows Explorer encounter system hang after the installation?
      • A5. This is caused by the thumbnail module that requires certain capacity of graphics/video card to produce thumbnail outcome. And we offer two solutions:
      • 1.Upgrade your graphics driver or card. Use dedicated graphics card as far as possible
      • 2.Disable the thumbnail module, which has no influence on normal use, and run Command Prompt as administrator. (As follows)
      • 2.1 Run following command to disable Panoramic Image Thumbnail Module: regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Insta360\Thumbnail\ImageThumbnail.dll"
      • 2.2 Run following command to disable Panoramic Video Thumbnail Module: regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Insta360\Thumbnail\VideoThumbnail.dll"
      • 2.3 And then you can reboot Windows
    • Q6. Encounter “Unknown error” when I click “Export to” on Studio
    • A6.Possible reasons:
    • 1.Lack Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Please make sure Q2 solved and download the Runtime Library Visual C++ en_ZH
    • 2.Incompatible with hardware decoding/encoding. You should go into Setting and click Software Decoding. (As follows)
  • 3.Incompatible with GPU Acceleration Model to implement template stitching. You should switch to Optical Flow Stitching. (As follows)
  • Q8.What if all solutions above doesn’t work?
  • A8.Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Visual C++ en_ZH firstly, and contact Afer-sales Service:+001 3238073655(Office Hour 09:30 - 12:30, 14:00 - 18:00 (PST), Monday to Friday).
